Find child care with the help of an updated directory of certified childcare providers located throughout Ventura County. The Child Development Resources is Ventura County's childcare resource and referral service. The CDR continually updates its listings of certified child care providers in the county.

Getting There

The Job & Career Centers can help you find transportation to and from work and help you with getting your children to and from childcare. Bus transportation is available in the counties cities by five municipal bus lines.

The Ventura County Transportation Commission can give you a personalized transportation schedule by filling out a questionnaire that asks when you want to leave, your address and your destination.

Meet a Mentor

A mentor is a person who takes a personal interest in helping another person get ahead. Ventura County has volunteer mentors who work directly with the Job & Career Centers. Having a mentor is like having your own personal career coach. Check with the Job & Career Centers if you would like to work with your own mentor.
